Briarwood is a condo community located in Chatham Township in Morris County, NJ. There are approximately 200 units in the complex which was built between 1984 and 1987. Briarwood condos are located in large buildings with a common entrance and feature 1 and 2 bedroom designs with single floor living. Each unit has a 1-car garage, laundry, and basement storage space. Models include the Amherst, Andover, Arlington, Auburn, Belleville, Canterbury, Carlisle, Dartmouth, and Derby. The development is a condominium or condo association. As of the year 2017, Taylor Management was employed by the residents. The monthly association fee was $361-$603 depending upon the size of the unit and includes exterior building maintenance, common area maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, trash collection, water, heat, and hot water. Amenities include a swimming pool, clubhouse, playground, and tennis courts. Briarwood is located in Chatham Glen. The neighborhood is easily accessible to shopping and transportation. The villages of Chatham, Summit, and New Providence are located close by - each town offers train service to Manhattan. The Short Hills Mall is about 10 minutes away and Newark International Airport is about 20 minutes away.

Residents have easy access to NJ Route 24 which connects to Interstate 78 for an eastbound commute. The train stations in Chatham Borough and Summit are located approximately 2 miles away with direct service to Hoboken or NY Penn Station on the NJ Transit Morristown Line. Passengers who take the Hoboken train can switch to the PATH to reach their final destination. Passengers who take the Midtown Direct train will arrive at NY Penn Station in about 40 minutes. Newark International Airport is about 20 minutes by car.
Public schools for residents include Southern Boulevard (K-3), Lafayette School (4-5), Chatham Middle School (6-8), and Chatham High School (9-12).
The villages of Chatham, Summit, and New Providence are located close by. Large national chain stores are located along NJ Route 10 in East Hanover. Residents can easily drive to the Short Hills Mall and Livingston Mall.
